X1 To Continue BMW’s Eco-Friendly Drive

BMW are set to release a smaller and more affordable version of the X5 in the coming months.
Having just launched the MINI First – a cheaper entry level model – BMW look set to continue their pursuit of cornering the mid end as well as the high end of the market.
The BMW X1 will come equipped with all of the EfficientDynamics features aimed at eco-friendly motoring including start-stop technology and Brake Energy Regeneration, amongst other Green extras.
There will be a choice of three of the diesel engines already used by BMW in other models including a twin turbo 204bhp version. The least powerful of which will still reach 0-60mph in 9.6 seconds and do 54 miles per gallon. And best of all will have CO2 emission levels of just 136g/km.
The BMW X1 will be available from October at a starting price of 22,660 pounds on the road. Visit www.cooperbmw.co.uk for more info.
