Well It’s Not BMW That Are About To Close!

Just when the press is full of doom and gloom for the automotive industry, BMW come along and prove all the critics wrong! As a measure of the public’s trust in BMW and BMW’s strength in the current car market, the group have just reported sales of the 7 Series in the Middle East as 121% higher in January 2009 than the same time last year.

After reports that a major car manufacturer was about to close in the UK, BMW report they are still going strong. Of course, for all car manufacturers, new car sales have decreased due to the economic climate but it would seem that where people can still afford new cars, they are looking to BMW to ensure they get a reliable vehicle that will see them through the hard times.

This is excellent news and BMW say it is down to their unrivalled technological advancements, particularly in the 740i and 750i models. This is where people want to spend their money. If you need a new car then why not have the best?

The Middle East is an area where BMW have seen their best growth over recent months, across the whole of their range, especially in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon. The 7 Series is very popular due to its reduced fuel consumption and co2 emissions. These changes have not affected performance and you will get 407 bhp as well as 100km/h in 5.2 seconds. Of course, you don’t need me to tell you that this all comes wrapped in the classy and stylishly sleek BMW body that is so typical of first class motoring.
