The Writers

Marcus Chinnery

Marcus is our latest recruit to Car Chat, specialising in his true love: German cars. In his youth, Marcus harboured lofty ambitions to become a Formula One driver, but soon realised he didn’t quite have the talent required and therefore resorted to taking up writing about his passion instead, for which Car Chat is truly grateful. When not dreaming about BMWs Marcus is often found playing video games – he owns 47 different driving games but still has a soft spot for one of the first he ever played, OutRun. When he is not writing for us or glued to his joypad, Marcus can often be found walking his dogs, Ayrton and Sterling.

David Stevens

Growing up, Dave’s dad had a fascination for collecting classic cars. This naturally led to Dave having this interest for highly exceptional vehicles and he has spent much of his working life surrounded by the things he loves best – BMW and Lexus. From personal experience, he has found these two car marques to be of exceptional performance and handling. Writing about them became second nature and as a regular at car shows throughout the world, Dave has the ideal opportunity to bring you all the news, reviews and updates for all that goes on in the world of BMW and Lexus.

Keith Parkes

Keith’s love of vehicles stems more from the classic Mini in The Italian Job. This sparked a fascination for cars in general and throughout his life, Keith has worked with them in various ways from factory floor to design studios. His favourite way to spend his time these days is to painstakingly analyse all the ins and outs of Minis and his other favourite, Honda. This has led him to write updates for our car blog – to keep you abreast of all things new and to fill you in on stuff you didn’t already know.

Luke Dart

From an early age, Luke enjoyed journeying to his local car garage and helping the mechanincs fix the numerous cars that went through there on a daily basis. This is where his huge love of anything with wheels came from. Nowadays, he has many motoring achievements to his name, including writing for Car Chat. At school, his teachers always knew that Luke would be able to write at a professional level. So when he left school, he bought himself a BMW M3 and decided to match his two greatest passions in life: motor sport and writing.
