Spring Is On Its Way

mini_convertiblepreviewOk, I may be being a little optimistic there but get through Christmas and you’ll all be looking for signs of it! Those first few days of sunshine where the temperatures crawl above freezing and the first spring bulbs poking their heads above grass level will all be hailed as the fact that summer is on its way.

You certainly won’t get past March without a few brave souls putting the top down on their convertibles and braving the elements for the touch of sun on their faces whilst driving. And there’s a very good reason for this: the new Mini convertible due for release on 28th March 2009.

The Mini Cooper Convertible will cost you £15, 995 to get on the road with the Mini Cooper S Convertible at £18, 995. For this you get a classic little car that promises economical running and enviable performance accompanied by gorgeous styling.

Mini convertibles have always displayed remarkable sales figures due to their uniqueness. There’s no confusion as to what you are looking at when you see one of these on the roads!
With a sporting theme going on, the new Mini has a low roofline and a raised shoulder line that is surrounded with a chrome strip that gives it those stylish finishing touches that make Mini so distinguishable.

And the difference between the Mini Cooper and Cooper S models? The Cooper S has an enhanced ‘powerdome’ positioned 20 millimetres higher than the average Mini and contains a large air scoop. Large twin tailpipes, a rear bumper housing a large diffuser and a two-piece rear fog lamp also set it apart.
New to the Mini Convertibles are air conditioning as standard, including in the lockable glove box – ice cold drinks stored in the glove box on a hot sunny day with the top dropped – what more could you ask for?

Well, you could ask for a different colour way to be added to Mini’s vast range and you wouldn’t be disappointed. Mini have added ‘Interchange Yellow’ and ‘Horizon blue’ to their colour chart so keep a look out for these on the roads this summer.
