Lexus Lead The Way

Within a very short history, Lexus have not only become leaders in the way forward for automobiles but also show great potential as leaders in the fight for a better future for the next generation. Not only do they have a highly efficient programme of recycling but they also believe, in the words of Michael Jackson, that ‘children are our future’.

To demonstrate this, they have used some of their profits to invest in the future – to invest in children’s charities that support organisations that shape and improve children’s lives.
Labelled as the Lexus Pursuit of Potential, this world famous car manufacturer do more than throw money at charity. They dig around and find organisations that follow this thread of supporting children in the years ahead. To this end, 2007 say a total of $3 million being put their way. Under the ‘Dealer Matching Funds’ programme, Lexus dealers that supported children’s charities had their funds matched again to the tune of $1 million by Lexus itself.

The Lexus Eco Challenge encourages children to get involved in their local communities efforts to maintain the environment. It is based on an educational programme to inspire youngsters to come up with ideas that will assist the environment to renew itself and create and enforce environmental programmes in their immediate vicinity.

For the twentieth year running, the Lexus Champions for Charity sees a series of golf tournaments that not only encourages sportsmen and women alike but also actively raises more money for children’s benefit. Charities to benefit from this scheme include The National Leukemia and Lympoma Society, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Diabetes Association as well as many others.
