Mini Car – Maximum Concern

0811_02_z2009_mini_eside_view_door_openIn a bid to provide ultra-low carbon transport for the nation, the UK Government have pledged between £2000 and £5000 towards the purchase of electric cars for each customer. Supporting this project is BMW Mini and to show their support they are now trialling the Mini E in the UK.

Forty cars are to be produced for the UK market, following successful trials in the US and Germany and Mini see it as a good way of marking their fiftieth anniversary – by showing how they are moving forward in direct demand from the consumer and their environmental concerns.

Cheaper On Two Wheels

Already having announced the 2010 Fury, Honda have also announced the early introduction of the SH150i scooter. Ok, it may not be to the taste of all you petrol heads out there but it’ll save you a packet on purchase and on fuel consumption getting from A to B, particularly good when you use your wheels for commuting.

MINI Convertible Range Marks 50th Anniversary

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the world’s most iconic cars, MINI are to release four new convertibles – the Cooper Convertible, Cooper s Convertible and later on in the year the MINI One Convertible and a JCW special edition boasting 208BHP.

The latter model will get enthusiasts most excited as with that much power underneath the hood, the MINI will be taken to another level.

Although the design of the new MINI convertibles remains the same there have been a few tweaks.

LS460 – You Get What You Pay For

ls460Not many people are in the position to think about buying the new Lexus LS460, especially during the current economic climate, but for those that are, they really are in for a (luxurious) treat!

Competition for the LS460 will of course be the BMW 7 series, Mercedes Benz S class and Audi A8 – cars aimed at the distinguished, well-to-do gentleman so the long list of luxurious features makes for interesting reading.

Honda Doing Their Bit For The Environment

fdsfHonda is set to take on one of the most aggressive advertising campaigns the motoring industry has ever seen. The Japanese giants have bought an ENTIRE commercial break on Channel 4 this weekend and ALL the advertising space for the first 11 pages of Saturday’s Guardian.

The advertising campaign is aimed at the general public to do their bit for global warming and buy themselves an eco friendly car.

An animated ad called ‘Do’er’ will be shown during the first commercial break for the premiere of Al Gore’s environmental documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, to be shown on Saturday 4th April at 9.20pm.

New Z4 Ready To Take Them All On
