BMW Crowned 2009 Which? Best Car Manufacturer

Which? Are the consumer experts, renowned as one of the most respected in the UK and their Cheif Executive, Peter Vicary-Smith gave a glowing reference to the German car manufacturers, saying that BMW vehicles always ‘excel’ in Which? road tests.

Throughout the past year BMW have implemented their innovative EfficientDynamics (including stop-start technology) which has certainly given the Bavarian Motor Works company a competitive edge in terms of green engineering.

This has lead to BMW receiving a further two awards including Green Car of the Year for the 318d ES and the Mini Cooper S.

The new 116d is the most eco-friendly car that BMW have ever produced with CO2 emissions of just 118g/km, costing just £35 per year to tax, and also is extremely economical returning up to 65 miles per gallon.

And what’s more, this little green machine is no slouch, with a top speed of 125mph and 0-60mph in 10 seconds.

With BMW taking full part in the Government Scrappage Scheme, this little beauty can be yours for under £14,000 thanks to a further £1,260 off the on the road price as well as the £1,000 discount matching that from the Government.
