Blowing Hot And Cold

My wheels and my music. Here we have two issues, both of equal importance to me but as a busy working parent both are neglected. When I’m in my car I guess I’m pretty much like any other busy parent in that I want to listen to good tunes but my schedule means that I have limited time to sort it out and I end up driving along constantly flicking between radio stations and bemoaning the fact that there’s ‘nothing on’.

I love my Mini and I love my iPod so the sensible thing for me was to combine them. I passed my iPod to my son who, being the technology wiz that he is, has loaded me hundreds of tunes all in different folders, from what he calls ‘old skool’ to what I call ‘old skool’ – a mere difference of about thirty years in music years!
I have folders for my romantic stuff which he has now labelled as ‘yuck’ and I have folders he has labelled as ’semi-cool’ – or Motown. He’s also added me folders that, apparently, are that to help me ‘get with it’. Sounds like noise to me but I guess I’ll get there.

Anyway, there we have it – hundreds of tunes loaded on my iPod which will plug neatly into my Mini using one simple USB cable with full control either via the Mini joystick located near the gear stick of the controls on the steering wheel.

So, once again, I am trendy. I drive one of the hottest cars banging out some of the coolest sounds all at the touch of the latest iPod button. How great is that?!
